This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Arca Aerosolized Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) Decontamination System for sterilizing N95 respirators, a critical need during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. The system’s efficacy was tested through eight trials with varying H2O2 concentrations (3% and 12%) and cycle durations. In the study, Bartovartion’s Very High Level Peroxide Test Strips were used to measure H2O2 exposure. Concentration tests inside the chamber consistently exceeded 5000 ppm, while no external H2O2 was detected. Biological indicator tests with Geobacillus stearothermophilus showed complete decontamination, confirming the system’s effectiveness in as little as 45 minutes.
