Easy to use strip provides accurate results in only 90 seconds
Moisture absorbing vial protects the strips from the elements preserving freshness
No electronics or chemicals needed for accurate results, just one strip!
Vivid color blocks at 0, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000 and 10,000 ppm
This strip IS NOT for testing tap water or hot tub water and will not work for that, we have other strips designed for that and would be happy to help you find a strip perfect for that. Please contact us we will be happy to help!
The Extra High Level Peroxide test strip is calibrated at 0, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, and 10,000 ppm, and gives results in 90 seconds. THIS TEST IS NOT FOR TESTING DRINKING WATER OR HOT TUBS! These strips are used to test concentration levels of Peroxide solutions used in cases where strong disinfection is needed.
This test strip is designed to work with solutions prepared from concentrated hydrogen peroxide only, including hydroperoxides and ether peroxides. It should not be used to test solutions made using “accelerated” hydrogen peroxide products as they require a special color chart.
Instructions:
Remove one test strip from the vial. Do not touch the test pad with your fingers.
Dip the test strip into the solution being tested for 1 second.
Remove and do not shake the strip & compare the test pad to the color chart after 90 seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do peroxide test strips work?
The test pad is treated with a formula consisting of buffers, surfactants, a red-ox indicator, and an enzyme. The enzyme makes the strip very sensitive to peroxide. The presence of peroxide causes the red-ox to develop color. The intensity of the color developed is proportional to the amount of peroxide present.
Does this strip work with Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide?
The peroxide test strips were developed to work with solutions prepared from concentrated solutions of hydrogen peroxide. Some formulations of hydrogen peroxide contain surfactants to create an “accelerated” peroxide solution. These “accelerated” solutions may work with the test strips but almost always require a custom color chart to be developed.
Do these test strips detect organic peroxides?
Yes, our low level peroxide strips can measure organic peroxides. Two specific examples are Peracetic Acid (PAA) and Peroxyoctanoic Acid (POOA), both of which give positive responses using these strips.
That being said, while the color scheme appears similar, the color chart supplied with this strip has not been calibrated to PAA, POOA, or any other organic peroxide. It is calibrated to hydrogen peroxide. Also keep in mind that organic peroxides (like PAA) are often a mixture that includes hydrogen peroxide.
Can I test 35% food grade peroxide with this strip?
This product is designed to test 0-10,000 ppm peroxide (0-1.0%), so, although it could be used to test food grade hydrogen peroxide, it would require a significant amount of dilution. For testing food grade peroxide, we recommend using this “very high level” strip.
