Description

For industrial and water cooling tower testing

This test is designed specifically for testing cooling towers, other industrial equipment, and in the treatment of municipal wastewater. Its measurement and control are vital for both safety and economic reasons. Chlorine exists in water as “free” chlorine (Hypochlorite) or “combined” chlorine (chloramines). THIS STRIP ONLY TESTS FOR “FREE” CHLORINE, NOT BOUND CHLORINE SUCH AS CHLORAMINES!

This strip has easy to read color blocks at 0, 0.5, 1, 3, 5 and 10 ppm free chlorine as well as pH in the range of 5-10.

This strip is also ideal for detecting trace (residual) levels of free chlorine to meet USDA or California organic certification regulations. To test surfaces, simply place a drop of distilled water on the indicator pad of the test strip and then firmly press it against the food handling equipment, tables or skin of the fruit and vegetables themselves. If there is chlorine present, the strip will change color & can be compared to the color chart after 30 seconds. Please note when doing residual surface testing the results should be treated as a qualitative indication of the presence of chlorine as opposed to a quantitative reading of PPM.
